Jovy spare parts

Anyone know where I can order spare parts for the RE-7500?
My emals to Jovy and avrepair have been ignored on this topic.
Are parts even available? If not I really have to look at other options. It would hurt my business if the Jovy went down for any amount of time. And I refuse to buy another machine everytime I may need a simple part.

Lets start a new thread here for those who have outsourced spare parts and where they got them.

heaters, thermocouple (same type), and main board.
Has anyone outsourced the heaters? Jovy wants $350 for a set. I think that is too high.

Don't bother with jovy parts, they charge ridiculous amount of money for the parts.
You can buy the top heater directly from the producer, just send them an email and they will get back to You. They quoted me approx $75 for the top heater when I needed it. As far as I remember its SHTS series.
The bottom heater is a simple ceramic panel, You can buy them for peanuts pretty much in every electronics online shop like rs-components etc and while doing it its a good idea to upgrade the bottom heater to eg 4 panels instead of one for better preheater. Jovy can easilly handle 4 panels so no worries, it doesnt require any electronics modifications.
As for the thermocouple dont bother with jovy - get a proper thermocouple from omega, its much cheaper and much better. TJC100-CASS-M100U-150 should be a perfect replacement although You may consider a thinner one.
As for the board its a simple electronics - if something brakes and its not the main cpu or flash im sure most people that use it can fix it and the most expensive part is the relay which cost approx $10.

Thanks for that info. Jovy quoted me $750 and $50 shipping for the parts. I thought that was way off base.

Hiya Dan.

I know the supplier in the UK. They have some new 77mm 500w upper heaters that have redesigned internals to provided a more even heating. Might be worth a look before you buy one. I'm just in the process of getting one.

Ok just had to do some resoldering on the jovy mainboard. USB kept cutting out and losing connection with the software. The mainboard could do with a few more standoffs under it. Mine was fitted bent and it looks like its been flexing when the machine warms up and broken the solder joints. Interestingly the mainboard seems to be soldered with leaded solder. I cleaned up all the solder joints and put some rubber pads under the board to stop it bending.

"USB kept cutting out and losing connection with the software" this is a common issue with the Jovy and nothing to do with the solder joint. If you check their latest driver update the info included states the communication fault

Also Kujoy don't buy in to the UK seller sales pitch about the so called "new 77mm 500w heaters" the have been available for months Elstein and other Ceramic heater suppliers. Sure it was user badness? who posted last year sometime that he had already upgraded the Ceramics on his Jovy.

So, tizac. I don't see any 77mm 500W heaters at Elstein.
If you know of anyone that has a good selection, please share.
I do see a SHTS/100 which is 800W 100mm unit. Would fit, but I think maybe too hot for good reflow.

I remember somewhere seeing a retrofit of larger lower heaters for the jovy. Anyone know where that info was? I may give that a try. I am really having issues with getting the larger chips to evenly heat up. I even took a look at the IR-SC-PRO and Bird 5000, don't thrash me! But I must admit, I was interested in the vernier movement of the upper heater and the nicer fan system and bigger heaters. Also looks like more profile control. Any thoughts?

thanks, there it is. I think that size may be overkill for my usage, but it gives me some ideas. The quartz glass would be a must to protect the emitters.
