abcchoier,

there is a different between totally dead and half dead after the wrong operation or flash a bad file (u have to be very careful) some flash file on internet has some bugs (I did have a A22 which can't flash and killed the phone

I pesonally flashed many GD87 and my exprience if if your phone:

Half dead ->
phone can't switch on, but when u put the charger into the phone, the charging light on phone (red/green) is on, phone can still re-alive if you flash with another GOOD file

Total dead ->
phone can't switch on, and even the charging light on phone has no signal --> sorry to say the boot area is erased. and even WINMODO can't detect the signal....

I should say flashing Panasonic is very dangerous job...

to be honest, repairing a total dead phone is very complicated (as it needs two phones + soldering + program to perform ....very complicated)

In your case, it seems to be totally dead if winmodo cannot detect the signal from your phone / charging light on phone is off.....

it doesn't matter to what firmware of your phone...A39,A38,A51

as they will also be replaced by your flash file

and it's no problem for u to flash a A39 file to a phone..

by the way, I don't recommend flashing...

1. easy to kill your phone and lots of steps
2. take time and stuff inside change (if own use no problem, but doing for customer...no good)

anyway, use panasonic Reader 6.0 is better if u unlock for people ...
