Gd87 Sim Error Any Help Wanted ??? - GSM-Forum

HI , MY gd87 has got sim error have taken it to the shop but no luck they sed they cnt fix it . wonderin if any1 can help ???? tried (25625 ok ok ) and (746 ok ok ) but it comes up with sim , network ect ect , which i cnt do anythin with hope some1 can help realli like the fone minus the promlems . is it no good ?

this was a common fault on early firmware try flashing with newer firmware also check sim socket connectors clean.

Hi MeLiSsa

You need to get your hands on winmodo for gd87 and CB2000
and a newer flash file for your handset example version A51 ,A55
then flash handset via com cable after flashing use CB2000 and do a memory clear or else handset will reboot all the time

If you are not sure what i'm talking about then take it to a repair centre :-)

thanks for replying , have taken it 2 a shop already but they said they cnt fix do u think i should just leave or take it 2 another ? i do know that other people gets theres fixed but the shop said its unfixable ? ?

take it to another shop for a second opinion or get a datalead and try upgradeing it yourself.alternativly sell it on ebay,but sim errors are normally repairable

on start up with simcard in handset type *#9999#
It should display the software version of the gd87 it will say someting like A19 ,A22 A51

etc if its A19,A22 that is old software and thats the reason for Sim Error you will find that your using a new simcard and the software on the phone doesn't support it so it needs an upgrade

Why don't you post your location there will be someone on the forum in your area who can help you
