GD87 Software??? - GSM-Forum

hello all

i was wondering if anyone in here knows of any video capture/ playback software i can get for my GD87, where i could get it from and how to install it etc

i did manage to get some sonyerricson screansavers through wap that worked but only when u looked at them in the data folder not if u had them as your wallpaper, i couldn't transfer them to pc using the usb data cable either?!?

also, if i flashed to A51 firmware would it give me more data folder memory or jus for my text messages??

any help would be greatly appreciated

first, anything you download via wap, mms or email is locked into the mobile to protect from piracy. I always suggest downloading to PC and then upload to mobile.

Second, Gx8x can not display animated gifs as wallpapers.

third, since gx8x does not record streaming video, why do you want a movie editor for it. This does not exist unless I am misunderstanding your request.

i do think that u missunderstood on the "third" item, i am not looking for an editor exactly, was just wondering if i could get any uploadable software that can make my fone record streaming video, as you can with the 7650 for example

can anyone answer my firmware questions??

do u know if there is any way to transfer files larger than 50KB to the phone? i have found a way to make exelent samples for ringtones etc but they are usually too large to transfer over.

or maybe u know a compression technique?

i know its not likely but i gotta know...........

Over 50kb does not seem possible, I know many people are hex editing the code, but to my knowledge, no one has succeeded in this area.
What I have done with the ringtones is to chop them down (make them shorter) to fit by using an editor. I only use MFM files in my mobile any more and 13 sec. of audio is plenty for a ringtone. Patience is a virtue though. Next year Pana is releasing an MP3 capable mobile!!!!

nope, just words from the Pana engineers. What I know is that the followon to x70 is suppose to have a SD card slot, mp3, megapixel camera, motion video, java, colour primary display and outside display, 16 MB of user memory, bluetooth. I have no idea what it looks like other than it is a clam shell about the size of GD87.
