panasonic DG87 dead - GSM-Forum

i tried to flash it with winmodo plus 2002. click on start download fone detected ok then the download time started to go up i accidently click on stop download now the fone is dead how do i make it alive again

in which step did you click on stop? "BOOT", "MAIN" or "LANGUAGE" ?

try to flash it agian and pray that it does accept the boot loader! if not than u are in a big problem!(need to be replace flash chip)

Or use another Gd87 and when downloader ask you to "continue whit update" remove good phone and put this dead....

But can U advise me how can I do that step with more details???

I ask that coz I only know 2 ways to solve it:
- Change other good chip or new flash chip with bootloader inside(after that my phone's imei have been changed)
- Use JTAG to rewrite bootloader file(Expensive solution)

One more solution, use external programmer with BGA93 adapter to writte a good file.

I saw this on old posts:
1/ connect a good working phone using winmodo and selecting only language.
2/ when the gd87 is in bootloader mode, desolder the NEC flash IC, replace with the bad one, the reconnect winmodo and writte boot+firmware+LP

(very difficult if you're not used to solder BGA ICs...)
