thanks 4 your observation but is strange... im using 4.0.3.17 desktop manager for 7*** and 8*** and dont have any problems with 7*** series.
4.0.3.17 is from november 2007. i think 8*** series does exist since then but i will upgrade desktop manager and post results.

flash ok but not tried reset block, i dont think unblock work on 8*** series

Just tested on 8100 from Cingular, was MEP counter blocked, and still counter blocked.
This method is OK for user code only.

yes, tested many times in may ways but it looks like only will work for 6*** and 7*** series.
wait for solution in 8*** series. i have one 8800 with attemps counter blocked.
i heard something about in some 8*** series the unlock code attemps counter is stored in non-writeable memory.
can any body can confirm it?

I used desktop manager version-4.3.0.17 (430_b025_multilanguage_nomediamanager) & its working for me frist time with T-Mobile 8700.

sorry, i think we lost the point in this thread some where. the thread is about unlock the attemp counter. Some one suggest that maybe the desktop manager version has something to do with it but, the theme is not about the desktop manager functions or flash the device.

hey, i'm so stressed i trying to reset the counter on a black berry 8100 i have the unlock code but, the counter has exceeded, can anyone help me, i tried to find the software but , it does not work.
