Hi

No, there is no problem in this - it happens on some few units, but it don't affect the working parameters or the lifetime so far the crack is not goind deep inside.

regards,
Gobi

Question to Gobi
what is the reason for this crack? is it for misuse or manufacturing defect?

Accordind to my judgment this is cause from diference between temperature extension of heater and metal shield around.

Regards,
Yes, we had some verry small percentage of infra-elements with this problems. And even the number of cases was small, we have at that time (long time allready) discussed the crack-issue with the producers of the infra-element and also SAME TIME made the "metal shield" arround the element little bit larger.
The result was that from the newer lots there was no "cracked" elements anymore.
HOWEVER, according to the informations from the ceramic-infrared producers and our experiences untill now, the cracks are ONLY at the surface and not deep to the special coil inside, and all this elements still working great even untill today.
At the end - what i allways told to MY OWN DIRECT CUSTOMERS: What i am directly selling i give warranty on it, and if there is a manufacturing problem i replace the faulty part. And same like me, all serious resellers are applying same warranty policy.

regards,
Gobi

Yes, you can buy from me, if you need. If you want to do so, then contact me on pm, mail , sonork ...
But from what i see in your picture, there is no need for you to buy now a new element. I expect your infrar station to work few thousend workhours more, and at that time to buy the infra element will be for sure cheaper then now, because the prices for this elements will get cheaper when we buy bigger and bigger quantities from the manufacturer.

regards,
Gobi

same with my IR too.....has cracked after using few times but still alive and kickin and GOBI's right it doesn't affects the performance.....

hence, the add-on "soldering iron" come with the package was already busted (not working) perhaps due to defective heating element..... i've requested my reseller here in the philippines if you (GOBI) could supply us that soldering iron?

hoping that you could provide us that item including some solder tips as spares thru our reseller here (Lampin saN)
