Flashing MB855

Hi

its possible to flash a MB855 From Sprint,

Which is already flashed with US Cellular firmware.

Lost GSM 3G and 4G now, Phone needs to be re-flashed with Sprint Firmware.

Can Scout downgrade or cross flash this phone ?

Here is log from Scout

Quote:
SCout 2.03. Flashing phone "SE Flash Sunfire" - "N/a"
flex "N/a" boot 0.07
with firmware "1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.4-4.5.1A-1_SUN-154_5-CM-release-keys-signed-Sprint-US.sbf"
The smart card status is 'removed'
SCout 2.03. Flashing phone "SE Flash Sunfire" - "N/a"
flex "N/a" boot 0.07
with firmware "1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.4-4.5.1A-1_SUN-154_5-CM-release-keys-signed-Sprint-US.sbf"
Preparing firmware image...
Loading RAM downloader for bootloader...
Jumping to downloader...
Waiting for re-enumeration
Phone did not re-enumerate after RAM-downloader was sent.
Flash failed
Or Sigma Box can do ? if so i ll buy one to fix this phone.

*Fix is possible @ Xda Dev

But i want quick professional solution.

As far as I remember, you have to enter RSD mode in order to flash this phone.
(VOL down/Power. Use VOL down to scroll though options til you see "RSD" then VOL up to enable.)
What is the current version of this phone? Can it be detected by Scout? If phone doesn't allow to downgrade itself, then it can't be done by regular flashing.

@ mcandre

Glad to see you here.

Yes, i connected phone in RSD Mode by pressing Vol Up + Power.

Phone flashed successfully with US Cellular firmware.

Code:
1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.5-4.5.1A_SUN_USC_19.0-19-release-keys-signed-USC-US.sbf
Phone needs to be flashed with this firmware
Code:
1FF-sunfire-user-2.3.4-4.5.1A-1_SUN-154_5-CM-release-keys-signed-Sprint-US.sbf
But phone not allowing to change firmware normally.

as i already wrote in my previous post, fix is possible by xda-dev

But its quite lengthy process, is there anything i can do with professional solution ?

Thank you once again for your time.

xda and similar forums put effort into creating solutions for changing radios, gain root access and other interesting options which aren't allowed by the manufacturer.

Scout gives you ability to flash the phone with huge amount of ORIGINAL flash files.
But I have to repeat that if manufacturer doesn't want the phone to be downgraded on some version, Scout can't do anything here.
When you try to downgrade firmware or to perform cross-flashing, in some cases phone dies (you get a brick). Sometimes it's hard to repair such bricks. They can be repaired via J-Tags only.

Flash failed
That's why sometimes phone's hardware doesn't accept some flash files. In other words, it says "I don't accept this firmware, it's not intended for me".

The main benefit of Scout is that it gives you all flash files. But they have to be used with the appropriate phones.

What was I talking about... Ah yes, about MB855 repair.
Looks like your phone can't be repaired by regular flashing only.
You have to flash different parts of firmware. Everything is described on XDA forum.
So use the method from XDA to bring your phone to the normal life. Scout will help you to flash all those files.

Good luck
