Hi can U give some back ground info..
U write it were faulty in U drawer.
Were the phone dead when you start to try downgrade etc.
Seems U success made backup data so save the backup so U can recover it later.
I am only courous if phone have soft or hardware damage from beginning.

If problems is caused by soft try download the latest flash files for the phone and try reflash it again and make sure U connectors are clean and get good contakt.

What may be problem according to you JAVAJOHN.. My phone seems responce while powering up and it was nothing related serious hardware problem cause actuall problem was camera was working sometimes and sometime not..
Even i could take CRTBACKUP.RPL backup and could read my pm from 0-512..
And for your kind information I can also put in LOCAL mode..

One more thing before two day phone was in working condition and I got it like I mentioned above..
This error happens only while I try to flash..

I hope you will findout correct problem..!
Thanks
