Member: 432483 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Installing signed drivers problem but just hangs in second step.. turn on phone and connect.. system goes straight to file transfer, XP does not go through the step to install it. So I am at a loss to know how to install signed drivers for w910i.. sounds dumb eh? but can you please advise how to install the signed drivers please? Thanks |

Member: 21296 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 328 | I don't think that there is a problem if XP opens File Transfer, you can click Unlock on Seking and it should read the phone, if not then you can post that it is not reading in phone....You can also try removing all drivers for W910 and then reinstalling the ones downloaded from this link http://ma3.extranet.sonyericsson.com/drivers/. If again doesn't work then go through steps in this tutorial to remove all W910 related drivers that you see washed out (previously you should disconnect phone) in Device Manager. Member: 432483 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | solved Thanks for assistance. Finally got XP to do its' job by letting the phone go into file transfer mode, then opening control panel/system/ports, and at last there were 6 red devices with question marks, so it was just a matter of updating driver.. then it all worked like a charm.. unlocked in suprisingly short time. |
