Member: 188959 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | I too have been a little critical of the bb5 team before , but this time I will actually be praising them .The engineering involved in designing, coding and producing bb5 unlockers is very difficult and complex [ I could never do it], and even though most quality pcb designs incorporate a volt reg, it was probably an oversight. If we unlock phones, we should be professionals , and ALWAYS use regulated power supplies, in everything we do with cell phones, and NEVER use non genuine chargers![with anything]. If you don't have a regulated PS, and do any sort of repairs on electronic devices, either buy one, or get out, full stop! Also , if a handset won't unlock because the usb can't provide enough power, best be safe and tell the customer that it is not safe to unlock [then they can decide if they want to take the risk!].It will protect your business, and won't leave you with a nasty surprise when you need to buy them a new one.Take some advice from an old dog who has been in this game a long time  |
