Stupid question ..if any thing wrong during unlock phone will be dead ? - GSM-Forum

Sorry for my stupid question ..but becouse almost bb5 unlock will be unlocked with testpoint ...and the testpoints are made with microscope ect ect ...my question is : if anything wrong during unlockin process of testpoint or any error caused by phone or software ...phone will be dead ???or we must try again to unlock to make a better testpoin and nothing hapen !

First of all, the phone is not so sensitive after all. Of course if you drop the phone from the table this is other story.
So take care not to touch the metal of the testpoints while unlocking, try to be shure that you have good ground connection on your devices, and maybe you can also use some electrostatic gloves on your hands so this way you can be shure the phone won't be damaged by electrostatic shocks.
Sometime phone may block while unlocking ... don't worry you'll only have to power off then power on the phone and retry.

tantacool is right, doing really weird mistake can kill your phone, but some normal mistake like tp slides off and put back is normal and wont do much harm, unless... really stupidity of shorting the phone.
