Try 16.8 version of software, first it read via USB then you have to connect via UARt, works in most cases... afte unlock with this version you can still get that annoying screen asking for unlock code, just put 00000000 and voila you're done.. .

unlocked with old version 16.9 and for unlock you need z3x uart cable.
