Okay if baseband is unknow after downgrade flash this modem

After flash with the firmware I mentioned above, hard reset the phone and baseband will be unknown, no worries after that flash this modem using odin in "CP" tab

https://www.4shared.com/file/M7PFWI98ca/modem.html

now the baseband will be fixed, then root via twrp and unlock.

The whole question is that why do we have to use the Odin to fix the phone when we have the z3x box. Instead of fixing the phone it messes it up and then we have to use Odin.

It is just the same algorithm that z3x and odin have for flashing .I was just showing directions don't be stubborn.

I am not complaining. I am just asking a question in general to myself. One has to have credits to unllock a phone in z3x. Its slow to flash as compared to Odin. It messes up the IMEI. If you have to unlock a phone you have to root it yourself. To root it you have to downgrade the firmware. Then it messes the IMEI. Then you look for wqys to fix the IMEI. Now its a different job what you quoted the customer for. Dont know why I have it.
I remember that I was using NSPRO before and it was much better at that time. No need to root to flash a firmware or unlock.
Just my rant guys!

The IMEI is lost not because of anything the box did, but because you are downgrading the modem and the security has been updated. Binary 3 has new security, so, you downgrade the firmware and you loose IMEI. That is why after going back to the updated firmware you recover IMEI a other funcionalities.
