Flash this 6.0.1 firmware first(just untick cm and sboot)

J700TUVU2APK6_J700TTMB2APK6

then root using twrp and unlock!

Rooting while you are on android 7.1.1 isn't a solution because the adb will be disabled and you can't unlock so downgrade to marshmallow and unlock.

If you can't find the file comment and I'll upload it.

the 7.1.1 os, is binary 3, we have to downgrade modem and root the phone to post results, im searching for a modem compatible for that binary 3,

right after unlock done u need reflash back stock to get stable use

If you want you can upgrade it but downgrading it doesn't have any effect on your phone stability.

Guys make sure to uncheck cm and sboot.

Have you used the one I mentioned on the post or other firmware???

If you used a different firmware then flash the 7.1.1 firmware which will bring your imei and baseband back then downgrade using the 6.0.1 firmware with the exact build number I posted above for higher success then root and unlock.

Post result.

I Flashed 7.1.1 and restore imei, tru to dowgrade again, same, baseband unknown and no imei, i was thinking was i used PK6 from metro pcs, but try with PK6 t nobile , still the same.

Ok i did diferent way and work, i root on nougat and downgraded only moden to QF1 and everthing is fine.

why not just downgrade to J700TUVU3AQC3 it is rev 3 and 6.0.1 There is always somebody that needs to make it so hard.

I was on 7.1.1. Rooted the phone but got the error saying "downgrade the modem". I downgraded to J700TUVU2APK6_J700TTMB2APK6" but lost IMEI. I also lost the adb and can not connect to z3xsamsung tool. I did uncheck the "cm" and sboot" while flashing.
So, I have the phone with no IMEI. What I am going to do it go back to "j700tuvu3bqk3". The after that I will downgrade to "J700TUVU3AQC3_TMB3AQC3" and lets see if it works. Another thing is that this folder/zip "J700TUVU3AQC3_TMB3AQC3" has different files eg starting with ap, bl, cp.csc. Which one do I flash and what are these different files. Its the same folder thats on z3x server.

Its just getting PITA now. I finally want to repair the IMEI.
