How do i enter the code?

Hello. Do you check before reading that phone asking for unlock codes? Reboot phone and check then.

When customer gave the phone, it reboots when entering any foreign sim. Need to unlock this phone

Why you decided that phone locked? When phone locked it will ask for unlock code or you will see some message like "invalid sim"..

Customer bought the phone locked in the USA. Brought the phone home to Africa. Restarts when inserting local sim

If phone restarts with inserted sim - its not lock problem. May be hardware, may be some other sw fault. Try reset or reflash phone. Anyway before reading codes you need to be sure that phone asking for unlocking code.
