3G Updated to 4.2.1 & 6.15bb Need Restore to 4.2.1 - GSM-Forum

Ok, I have a tired a few custom firmware and I don't have a mac

I updated to 4.2.1 then updated baseband to 6.15.00

Then installed PUSHDOCTOR it failed (so don't use it on 4.2.1) and cydia lost everything so I needed to restore.

I got it restored to 4.1 with 6.15bb it works fine.

But now how do I get back to 4.2.1 with already upgraded BB since iTunes won't let it without error.

If someone could post a firmware that would work cause there are a few people looking for this but no one has given the answer as to
YES this will give you 4.2.1 if you already have BB 6.15

I don't feel like trying this but can anyone try a lower verison of itunes that maybe doesn't know how to check the baseband or is that programed into the firmware and it checks regardless of the itunes?

Just an idea that may work idk

Found this maybe someone try and it and see if it works but is tethered so let me know:

bro your problem is gone with custom firmware here is link
1.open redsnow latest version

2.browse file 4.2.1 3gs orginal firmware

3.select only this option ( just enter pwned DFU mode right now)

4.then flash with this MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service custom firmware (3Gs)

5.after finish flash Do redsnow jailbreak procedure

( if new bootrom means stuck in apple logo after jailbreak pls dont try to flash again just do with redsnow JUST BOOT TETHERED RIGHT NOW option and wait for boot) thanks for mani_satcell

I have the same problem. How did you restore to 4.1??

Used Snowbreeze 2.0 made custom 4.1 then used iREB to get into DFU mode and installed the custom 4.1

You get error at end, use Recboot or TinyUmbrella to kick out of recovery

Used Redsn0w .96b6
Installed New Cydia
Did the SAM to fix battery and push notifications

All done!

You now are at 4.1 w/ 6.15bb
