3GS stuck on Apple logo but can still sync! - GSM-Forum

I have fixed many iphones but I have a 3GS stuck on the Apple logo.
old bootrom, tried this with 4.1 and 4.2.1, initial official restore has error 1015

1- redsnow pwned DFU mode and custom firmware restore completes ok - stuck on Apple logo

2- redsnow jailbreak completes ok - still stuck on Apple logo

3- iTunes detects and set up as a new iPhone ok - still stuck on Apple logo

4- iTunes sync including some music completes ok - still stuck on Apple logo

the phone does reboot after about 10 minutes or so by itself.
I am able to upload an SSH ramdisk and access the file system but no idea where the problem is. Does anyone have ideas about this stuck Apple logo?

just replace the light sensor flex , i know its sound stupid but its working
