i think we need to ask customer if they agree BEFORE we make this modefikations on there phone, its possible then we get later problem with customer if he dont whanted a such deep modefication in there phones.

Yes don;t update baseband

Iphone 3GS Done.

No need to update on 4.2.1 just restore 4.1 with original firmware and use redsnow for jailbreak and update baseband that,s all.

The guide posted in Limera1n Jailbreak was not the right one, as the BB 05.14 and 05.15 are not supported.

WARNING — YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE CONSEQUENCES OF UPDATING TO 06.15.

1. There is no way to come back down from 06.15, and there’s no hiding the baseband version from Apple. You’ll be voiding your warranty in a very obvious way.
2. If some future baseband comes out with a critical fix, you won’t be able to update to it if it remains down in the 05.xx sequence (then again, you wouldn’t update to it if you wanted to keep your unlock anyway).
3. Starting with FW 4.2.1 if you have 06.15 on your iPhone you won’t ever be able to restore to stock firmware (it will fail). You’ll need to only restore to custom IPSWs (then again, if you’re unlocker you should already be doing that).

after upgrade the baseband my fon is having hang problem and then i try run 4.1 firmware by i tunes on my device but it fails seniors plz help to revive this fon thanks inadvance

I think its very good news for us to unlock devices with simple & easy steps. But we should confirm it from our customers first. And there is an other way still opened of custom firmware, so I think it really good news for us.

any member who unlock his fone on 6.15 has face any problem after unlocking then post there is dis unlocking is save

This means those of us who doesn't have mac should still have to wait for some few hours.
At least this is good news for us,all thanks to the Dev team and I say more grease to your elbow.
