SemiRestore7 for iOS 7 Released; lets you restore your iPhone without losing jailbrea

As you’ve probably heard by now, evasi0n jailbreak doesn’t work with the iOS 7.1 software update released yesterday as Apple has patched a number of vulnerabilities used in evasi0n7, so jailbreakers have been advised to avoid upgrading to it.

If you’re a jailbreaker who is nervous the risk with yesterday’s iOS 7.1 release, then we’ve some good news for you. CoolStar, the developer of SemiRestore has just released SemiRestore7, an updated version of his tool which adds support for iOS 7 just in time.
SemiRestore was first released for iOS 6.x. It is a nifty tool that allows users to restore their jailbroken iOS device to near stock condition without losing the jailbreak.
SemiRestore7 can come in handy when you get into a reboot loop issue because of a problematic/buggy tweak, which can usually force you to restore your device, that would also mean losing the jailbreak. Since it removes the jailbreak tweaks during the restore process, it can help in such cases.
SemiRestore needs OpenSSH, so you should install OpenSSH on your jailbroken iOS device, so that you have the option to restore to near stock condition if something goes wrong with your jailbroken device.
Please note that you should change the password after installing OpenSSH to change the root password of your jailbroken iOS device to prevent someone from remotely accessing your iOS device. You can check our guide if you need help.
SemiRestore7 for iOS 7 is currently available only for Windows (supports Windows XP SP3 or higher). The Mac and Linux versions are currently being tested, and should hopefully be released soon.
