Apple News | iPhone Dev-Team to Update RedSn0w Beta Today, Windows Update Coming Soon Thursday, 30th December 2010, 11:12 am This entry needs translation. To help us and submit a translation please click here
RedSn0w .9.7b4 will be released today to untether your iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak without the need for usbmuxd.

This untether is a 'backup plan' from the iPhone Dev-Team. It requires access to the iOS 4.2b3 firmware and your iOS 4.2b3 SHSH blobs saved.

Currently, the untether is Mac only but the next update will bring Windows support.

Today's beta4 will eliminate separate usbmuxd process (so many more Mac users can use it). After that, expand to Windows.
