Dfu loop solution for iphone 3gs

here is the fix for ur dfu problems,,..
Need softwares:
1. Tiny umberlla
2. Firmware 4.1
3. Firmware 4.3.3
4.redsn0w 9.6xxx
5 itunes

step 1.
Open ur tiny umberlla and start tss service
step 2.. Open redsn0w and select 4.1 firmware and conncet ur phone with dfu loop phone,, then just tick juest enter pwned dfu mode.. And finish it... Now ur phone pwned dfu mode.

Step3.. Now open itunes and restore with official 4.1 firmware.. Will flash ur phone and end with 1015 error.... And dfu mode again...

Step 4... Very important one now close ur tiny umberlla
step 5...open ur itunes now and restore with 4.3.3 official firmware (dont use pwned dfu now and dont use tiny umberlla.. This mistake lead us to dfu mood again)... Again ends with 1015 error and ur phone now diplay low battery symbol or recovery mode.. No problem...(if u have low battery symbol.. Wait to charge for sometime)

step 5... Now use redsn0w with 4.3.3 and tick and jailbrake it...

Struck while jailbraking ,,, now again repeat the same procedure

now ur phone will be activated and work fine ... Now use ultrasnow to unlock from cydia... Now ur phone is unlocked and untechred .... Reply me ....

I cannot get my 3gs to restore with 6.15 baseband. This is what I have done:

Hosts file is clean, no apple.
1. Start TU, put in TSS mode.
2. Start redsnow, point to 4.1 FW, put in dfu mode, click "finish".
3. Open itunes:
itunes must check software update server... I click OK
itunes has detected a device in recovery mode, i click OK
shift-click restore, point to 4.1 FW
I get error 1603, I click OK
phone no longer shows in itunes
phone now in recovery mode.
4. TU now shows 2 devices in recovery mode.
I stopped TSS mode, tried to "save SHSH" but I have no SHSH displayed.
Quit TU
5. Opened itunes again.
Same process, check software server and so on.
Shift-click restore, point to 4.3 FW
get error 3194
6. Open redsnow, point towards 4.3 FW
Get message "unable to recognize specified IPSW.
Point to 4.2 custom FW, get same message
Point to 4.2 official, it recognizes it.
I did NOT use 4.2 official now, just quit redsnow.
7. Opened green poison, tried to JB,
Jail break failed.
8. Used TU to exit recovery mode.

Still have a bricked iphone! TU apparently not retrieving SHSH??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, not sure I can help much but error 1603 is you need to change the usb cable or install Itune again fresh ones.

error 3194 is that the itune does not connect with Apple. To fix this go to C:\windows\system32\drivers\ect
click hosts -open with notepad
delete " 74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com" or put # in front of it #74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com

save and exit.

Use 4.1 FW to restore.

Good luck..!!!

Different cable produced 1600 error rather than 1603.

Tiny Umbrella seems to be not retrieving my SHSH, at least I think that is what is going on. I start the TSS server, but nothing ever shows up for an SHSH to save. Should I see the SHSH file if TU was able to retrieve it?

My hosts file is clean.

Thanks!

Use iReb to fix this error 1603 and then restore again..!

Good Luck..!

I used this link to find my ECID:
iClarified - iPhone - How to Find Your iPhone ECID [Windows]

I used that to manually enter that number in tiny umbrella. This returned 5 SHSH blobs.
4.1
4.3
4.3.1
4.3.2
4.3.3

This surprised me. I did not unlock this phone myself, but I have never upgraded it, so I am not sure why it shows 5 blobs.

I also get these shsh displayed listed for a recovery device each time I try to restore in itunes. I have attached a screenshot of TU window.

Doesn't matter anyway, as I am getting error 1611 now.
This is the process I am using.
1. Open TU, and start TSS server. I click on my iphone in the device pane (I have no idea if that is necessary or not).

2. Open redns0w, and point it to the official 4.1 FW (I do not know what FW was on the phone when it crashed). I click on "just enter pwned dfu mode.
Redsn0w does its thing, walks me through putting device in pwned dfu mode.

3. I open itunes (version 10.4) and do a shift-click restore, and point it to a custom 4.3.3 ISPW file I created with snowbreeze version 2.7.3.
Itunes starts the processes of restoring, and I get a 1611 error.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong, or what I can try next?

Thanks for any help.

I never could get the phone to restore at all, so never could even get to the point of a 1014 error.

Anyway, I called a local guy that does repairs, and he said it sounded like it needed a battery. The battery was fine before I dropped the phone, so it never crossed my mind. This guy said he had seen it happen before, so I went to him, he put in a new battery, and the phone booted up perfectly with no lost data. I now have a fully functional phone.

I figured a phone plugged into a cable would give it all the power it needed, but this guy says no, it must have a battery to run properly. Wierd.

I dont have SHSH for 4.3.3, only 4.1 and 4.3.5

So cannot restore to 4.3.3.

Any suggestions ?

milesius 09-09-2011 19:43

this works.

I have verified.
It seems that you can skip a step or two. The key is that you drop back to 4.1 official and let the error 1015 occur. From there, you can redsn0w up to your desired firmware.
If you get 160x errors, use iReb or Tiny Umbrella to fix boot loop, and your golden.
My problem is that I need to boot untethered to use unlock for my carrier. Redsn0w does not work for this and sn0wbreeze cant get around this DFU loop problem. So, I am still stuck trying to get 4.3.3 on my 3GS with to a 6.15 BB with no fix.
