error 3014 when attempting to update to IOS4 - GSM-Forum

Hi guys, apologies if this has already been posted somewhere, but I tried searching and really battled to find a solution, so I thought Id make a thread that would be easy to search for.

I kept receiving the error 3014 when attempting to update to IOS4. After trying many things

so any one know how to fix it please help

are you using itunes 9.2 if not thats what your error is

yes... i am facing the same problem..... error 3014..... iphone 3G fw 3.1.3 JB w/ RS 0.9.4, now trying to upgrade and restore iOS4 using itunes 9.2... but failed... pls help!

me to same problem whit 3G now phone stuck in recovery mode and can't restore even 3.1.3 or iOS4

Are you restoring the beta version of 4.0 or the official release?

Try re-downloading OS4 then try resting by shift clicking the restore button.

i also face this problam with 3g
only orignal 3.1.3 load succesful , no 4.0 or custome fw

After been confused and cant update , finally i successful after i fallow instruction here

Restore to iOS 4.0. Don't update to i0S 4.0

using iOS 4 original fw from apple..... and try to restore instead of update... still can't restore coz update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavaible....

just follow this instruction..

You may also need to try removing the 127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com entry from your /etc/hosts (Mac), or C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts (PC)

it worked for me...
