There are times when you connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to your windows based computer and a error message window pops up saying Apple Device Mobile Service as shown in the image below. This could happen due to the stopping of important apple service which runs in background in windows and is required to be running so that the apple devices get recognized when they are connected. Follow the procedure to fix this problem For Windows Vista or Windows 7 Close iTunes and disconnect the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Click the Windows Start button . In the Start Search field type Services. In the Programs section of the search results, click Services. Right-click on Apple Mobile Device service and click Properties in the shortcut menu. Set the Startup type pop-up menu to Automatic and click OK. For XP Close iTunes and disconnect the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Click the Windows Start button. Go to Start >> Run and then type Services.msc and press Enter Right-click on Apple Mobile Device service and click Properties in the shortcut menu. Set the Startup type pop-up menu to Automatic and click OK. Note: If the above service is already set to automatic, you just need to right click on the service name and then select start, so that service gets started if it is suspended for any reason | |
