Greenpois0n RC5_2 launch error "Incompatible library version" fix - GSM-Forum

For those with older versions of OS X you don't need to upgrade at all simply follow this guide here and replace the needed "libcurl.4.dylib" file and you should be good to go. Now for ease of understanding I'll put the steps that I took below.

1. Download the file here (same download link as the tutorial in above link).

2. Open up terminal and type in the command "defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles-bool true" without quotes so that you can see hidden system files.

3. now go to "Finder" on your dock and either right click or hold ctrl+alt and click then select "Go to Folder". Type in "/usr/lib/" in the field.

4. When the folder opens manually find the file "libcurl.4.dylib", delete it (it's important that you do this instead of just overwriting the file) then replace it with the newer version you just downloaded. You need to enter your account password on both occasions.

5. If you want to hide the system files again go to terminal and type in "defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles-bool false"

And that's it! Greenpois0n should just launch without any hassle. Hope this works for all of you and all credit goes to alebot for the tutorial.

Now unfortunately I still couldn't get mine to JB successfully due to me running it in VMware; in the log file it says the phone is unresponsive and GP would get stuck in loop keep trying to detect phone and injecting JB files with no success. Now if anyone has the solution for this I'd appreciate if you can share it.

Hey no prob

Obviously if you have a Mac as a daily user you should have updated to the latest OS X anyway which resolves this issue. If you have slow internet and/or are stuck with older version OS X like me then it's worth a try, if your GP always quits unexpectedly upon launch.

If it still doesn't work, the Windows version of GP RC5 is just a day or two away anyway so nothing to worry about

The Greenpois0n RC5_b3 is out now which allows GP to run under OS X 10.5 and up. Download here.
