i have swiss com too but it didnt work with me with sam it said on itune sim card not suported ????????

It worked for me,my iphone 4 bought locked by swisscom operator (swisscom natel ch), I m using slovenia Mobitel sim card,i unlocked with SAM,worked perfectly, my ios 5.0.1, baseband 04.10.01, jailbreaked, but first you have to deactivate with redsnow 0.9.10b4, only deactivate.select deactivate,and deselect cydia because is intallet to your phone,then
use SAM process. it will work,worked for me succsessfully.

yes you can , but 5.1 jailbreak is tethered , so you can use your actual os 4.xx or 5.xx !
