How to update iphone 3Gs 4.1 to 4.3.3 - GSM-Forum

I have iPhone 3Gs 4.1 modem firmware 06.15.00 want to update version to 4.3.3, but it cannot update or restore to 4.3.3 (show only in recovery mode itune+usb).

How can i restore it from 4.1 modem 06.15 to 4.3.3?

first download firmware from here Direct Links to Download iOS 4.3.3 for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch » Unlock iPhone and then restore it with itunes and jailbreak it with redsn0w

it cannot restore with this firmware. it show error message and iPhone screen show in recovery mode only. my iphone 4.1 modem firmware 06.15 !!!!

downgrade the "Modem Firmware" or "Baseband" of your iPhone from 06.15.00 to 05.13.xx, which is also unlockable using Ultrasn0w v1.2
once you done that then you can use itunes to update...to whatever firmware you want.

you got the iPad baseband at moment,,
just downgrade back to the 3g or 3gs

you can not downgrade iphone baseband
you can only restore it by a Custom firmware 4.3.3

hi all when i TRIED TO restore customrestore 4.3.3 always say error 1611
i changed cable and usb but same error .
any help plz ???

1st -- go to thos path c:/windows/system32/drivers and cut the folder "etc" and past it on your desktop and rebote you pc

2nd -- restore to stock firmware 4.3.3 not custome , you will get error 1015
3th -- run redsn0w "redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc16" and and jailbreak it ( don't forget to tick cydia and ipad baseband )
4th -- phone will freeze on activating bundle or something like this ( pinapple )
5th -- reset your iphone by pressing the home and power botton you will get recovery mode again ( normal )
6th -- boot tethered using redsn0w again
7th -- iphone will boot normal and need to jailbreak it
8th -- jailbreak it and install cydia only then install ultrasn0w

tested many time on deffrent 3gs and worked 100%
i was unable to exit recovery mode even on 4.1

just do what i wrote above and you will get you iphone working on 4.3.3

i fogot : u don't need any custom fw just stock fw 4.3.3 and redsnow 0.9.6rc16

brother i alwys fix erorr 1015 by iREB 4.0.x-4.1-RC2
if u get erorr1015 form 4.1 close itunes not plug ur divice open ireb click up ur mobile model 2G OR 3G ....... not do any thing phone automaticly go to dfu mode just click up
recovery mode loop fixer/shsh blobs Gabber then just click at
set auto-boot true(fixer 1015 erorrs/recovery loops)
after phone 100% work iam sure but for 4.2.1 i still have problem but for 4.1 100% work

Correct.

And you can update to 4.3.3. via itunes and use rc14 with 4.3.2. afterwards.

yes i know, but iPhone 3Gs 4.1 modem 06.15 already. when restore to 4.3.3 or 4.3.2 get error with both ******* firmware or original firmware, show only in recovery mode. i use RecBoot and iReb still not work.

how can i restore to 4.3.3 with iPhone 3Gs.
