hello all..
i hav a 4g with 4.3.2 with bb 4.10 and it is jail broken..... now i wanna update it to 5.0.1 and factory unlock it.. before i try direct restore with the 5.0.1 but i always got error 21 and then i tried a lots of other tools and i totally messed up with it... rignt now i flashed the fone with 4.3.2 and i got error 1013 then i used the theter boot option and right now fone is on..
but plz tell me the procedure to update that fone to 5.0.1 and so i can successfully facvtory unlock it...

bro u hv to restore your phone via custom .IPSW nd use preserve baseband using snowbreze then restore it in DFU mod ,u can unlock it via gevey sim if want factory unlock contact with the retailer

i made the custome ipsw with no base bans update using redsnow and also with the snowbreeze but i get th error 21 fron snowbreeze file and eror 10 from redsnow file and process trminates exactly at approx. 10% iphone progress bar..... what shud i do????i used tiny umbrella for removing the error 3194

if i try the stock firmware to restore the fone then the fone doesnt even boots up after the server restore confirmation... what shud i do??

brother tell me one thing are u install tiny umbrella in u computor or change host file becz if u change host file or install tiny umbrella then this error ocured?^+

i do hav the tiny umbrella but i didnt do anything with the hosts file of tiny...right now i m using the theter boot nad fone working on 4.3.3. i wanna update it on 5.0.1 and wanna factory unlok the fone.. plz guide me..

What do you mean by factory unlock the phone.

Are you unlocked by gevey sim?

Dont upgrade baseband if you are using gevey sim. Factory unlocked no problem. make sure you read the guide that was provided earlier linked to iclarified. you just need a custom ipsw. for restoring to 5.0.1 host files must point to apple servers.

AND you have to be in DFU mode to restore properly. For custom ipsw you need to be in PWNED DFU mode from redsnow options or IREB

first make sure u have the latest itunes installed, then right click and run itunes as administrator (especially on win vista or win7). then update directly or put iphone to dfu mode first and then restore. try and get back a.s.a.p.
