AT&T will now unlock your iPhone—if you are in good account standing and are done with your obligated term of commitment (including having paid an early termination fee.)

What if you're not the original owner of the phone. I live in Australia and bought an iphone off **** that is locked to AT&T. I have emailed them about an unlock. I'll let you know how it goes.
