ios 5.0.1 with ipad baseband(6.15.00)

hi i got iphone 3gs with version 4.1(downgraded) and baseband 6.15.00 (updated with redsnow).i successfully updated it to 5.0.1 but when i am trying to activate it it doing nothing it just pop up with message there is no sim card u are trying to activate.
i also tried to activate 5.0.1 with redsnow using jaibreak but no success.its working fine on 4.1 with ipad baseband but i want to make it work on ios 5.is there any soloution for this problum.

Yes u can use 5.0.1 with 6.15 baseband but u face startup wizard

Iphone with any sim wich is got info by imei than jailbreak & unlock with repo.

its better to use 4.1 then 5.0.1

but if u realy want to use ios 5.0.1 & u know the Operator of apple Device . then insert sim of this Operator to let you out of here --

I laso have this problem... I know the operator but i don't have sim card from this network!
Can u please help me to downgrade to 4.1 and unlock my 3gs? I try everything but i failed!

After downgrade from 5.x to 4.x your baseband is left in inconsistent state- easy solution is REFLASH ipad baseband using redsn0w

All you need to do to downgrade is download 4.1 IPSW from http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ and flash it using itunes. 4.1 is still being signed so will flash straight into the phonw without any problems.

Then use redsn)w 0.9.6b4 or b6 to jailbreak and update baseband.

Once jailbroken and baseband is updated then open cydia and install ultrasn0w from it.

Thats it!

i restore it to 5.0.1 with baseband 6.15.00 when phone is start i put orignal network sim inside and try to activate it but no success itunes is only trying to rcogniging it but after some time its saying there is no sim card in which u trying to activate so because of this i downgrade it to 4.1 activate it and everything is working fine,but thing is only i cant activate it with my orignal sim on 5.0.1 as i wrote before i try redsnow and jailbrak it but no soloution

You have to use redsn0w and install Cydia to activate. You can also use sn0wbreeze to hacktivate.

I updated my 3Gs with 5.0.1 then jailbreak it with redsnow 9.9b8 tetherd successful now i trying u reflash the ipad baseband but process can stop by showing the Don't send error message......i just want to know is it important to reflash the ipad baseband? if not, then i can unlock this version with ultrasn0w? if yes...then plz share tht magic how i can do it?

I am having 3gs jailbroken and unlocked with ios 5. I have updated to stock ios 5.0.1 from itunes and was stucked with no sim/ no network error. After google and trying out restoring, jailbreaking about 25 times I finally did it. Here is the solution.

1. I got new replacement sim from O2 as first I thought it might be problem with sim (so I don't know this was helpful or not)

2. Once I restored to stock ios 5.0.1 from itunes I have jailbroken tethered by redsnow 0.9.9b8 clicking;

a) install cydia
b) install ipad baseband
c) deactivate (make sure this is clicked because before this I have jailbroken with same options without deactivate and it was not working. after clicking deactivate things worked at first)

that's it, once jailbroken you are done.

Note: while jailbreaking ios 5.0.1 select ios 5 ipsw as redsnow is not compatible with 5.0.1 yet
