iOS4 GM installation problems

I wanted to test the iOS4 GM release. Because I have no Mac, I went to a friend and installed it there. My iPhone 3GS ist UDID-registered as a developer already (at least I think so). Now iOS4 is running. But the phone is not activated.

Activation requires iTunes 9.2 Beta and I didn't want to install Beta software on my friends machine, carrying the risk of losing her data. (She has no useful backup and iTunes is full of her private music and videos.)

So now I have an unactivated iOS4 phone which is quite useless, because I could only do emergency calls. I cannot even downgrade it, because my iTunes just says it requires iTunes 9.2 and doesn't list my device. I only have access to Windows PCs.

Is there any other way to activate the phone? I can activate the SIM card (by entering a PIN), but not the phone (requires iTunes).

Is there a jailbreak available? Spirit just says 4.0 is not supported. I have the newest baseband, so I know that I cannot unlock right now.

I just want to get my phone back into a useful state, preferrably keeping the iOS4 on it. I do have shsh backup of 3.1.3 if this is helpful.

Any ideas about how I could do this without buying a Mac? (Mac emulator does not run on my PCs, because they are too old.)

Any useful suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

I was already there (before I went to my friend) and they told me that they don't have beta software installed. All their Macs are locked somehow, so no installations are possible.

Here's the link to redsn0w 0.9.5b5-1 Beta:
redsn0w 0.9.5 BETA [iPhone Dev Team]

According to the documentation there it's not working for me because:
- supports only iPhone 3G and ipt2 (I have iPhone 3GS)
- doesn't hacktivate the device (so still need iTunes 9.2 Beta on Mac)
