i can directly jailbreak it with limera1n or i have to upgrade to 4.0.2 and then jailbreak it?

You cannot upgrade to 4.0.2.

Use Spirit for jailbreak this version.

my iphone is now in recovery mode cause i used limera1n

can i restore to 4.0.2 and then jailbreak it and unlock it or i have to restore to 3.1.2 and then use spirit and then unlock it?

If you have SHSH saved than you can update to 4.0.2

no i didnt save anything so what else could i do?

P.S: is it possible that using limera1n in a 3.1.2 iphone got it in recovery mode?

use umbrella to get out of recovery mode and use spirit to jailbreak and add ultrasnow for unlock

If you have SHSH saved, you can restore 3.1.2.

Attach iphone on cable, start umbrella and click on kick out of the recovery button.
