iphone 3gs update ?

I got 3gs V3.1.2 .I think to jailbreak it I must update until up to V4.0.1.
How can I update to v4.0.1 ?

use tinyumbrella to downgrade your iphone.[
just u have to start ssh blogs,it ll show ssh blog saved on cydia.
start sst server on tinyumbrella software and then open itunes and put ur
iphone on dfu mode and restore iphone with ios 4.0.1 fw.
u will get this software on google.
