Iphone 3GS Warranty replacement - GSM-Forum

Have bought an iphone secondhand.
Apple website is showing warranty is till march next year.

However there is no signal.
Mostlikely blocked.
But it was not reported lost or stolen.

See attached Checkmend report.

Now the million dollar question is: Will applestore give me replacement under warranty if phone is stuck on recovery mode?

if you have warrenty card then yoy are able to claim warrenty

i have the original box and the accessories.
Warranty card?
Where do i find it?

OK, the iphone's IMEI and serial is on the box as well as the SIM tray.
I also found the printed iphone user guide in the box among other accessories.
It talks about warranty in the last pages, but does not mention blocked handsets.

Very unlikely. And if you do try to do such athing, expect the store to inform the police you have a barred phone.

Just because its not been reported lost or stolen doesnt mean its OK for it to be barred. It most likely has not had the contract paid.

Id want my money back regardless of waranttys if it was barred / faulty
