iphone 4 1602 error ....any sugestions - GSM-Forum

i have a iphone 4 it was water damage ... ( a littlle bit of water ) and i manage to turn it on but when i want to restore give me error 1602 ... and another problem is he dont stay on only if is connected whit the charger ... i change the battery ... what i should to ... any ideas ?

i have found it thx anyway .... but still same problem ... is going in DFU and when i try to restore give me error 3194 ... im still looking for a solution ..

you not save SHSH ???? not ok , up firmware ios 5.1 ok , no proplem 3194

i havent save nothing ... but even on 5.1 is coming same error 3194... i dont care wich version of software will be in just i wish this phone to work

Hey Mates,

I just want to lift this thread, I also have the same problem with iPhone 4S, i notice when changing the usb dock the indicator show red (possibility of water damage). When I checked with the multitester It doesnt show shot-circuit. I changed usb dock assembly with new one, but still the same problem. Device is only detected when on DFU mode only. Tried to restore with modified and original host, still the same problem "ERROR 1602".

Status of the unit: stuck on apple logo

change your host file with this :: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?om9fca32xhiex8b it will be fixed extract copy and paste it here C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

Yes change the battery. I was had it in my iPhone 4s and I change the battery .....solved that.
