iPhone 4 No Service - GSM-Forum

Hi, got a replacement by Apple this Week. Had a MC 605 B from UK which was replaced by Apple Germany because it showed up NO SERVICE with a MC 605 DN which seems to be still looked to o2 or Tesco UK and still shows NO SERVICE if i use the o2 UK simcard which i also used to activate the phone, other sim cards won´t work. A new o2 UK Sim Card is on the way, do you have any suggestions what to do besides Network Settings/ Phone settings reset?

Is roaming activated on your o2 sim? If no you will get "no service". It can be activated only inside the country, so in this case in the UK.

I don´t have Jailbreak and Ultrasnow on this handset its running 4.3.5 just fresh out of Apple Returnbox.

You have to activate with o2 it but to do that you need to be in the UK. Once activated you can use the sim anywhere. Unfortunately can't be activated from abroad.

Since when i have to activate within UK? Never heard something like that my 3GS was also from UK but i activated it in Germany.. do i have to activate the option on the sim or on the iphone?
