iPhone 4 rebooting after floor drop!

I have an iPhone which I dropped against the floor. After this fall the screen cracked and the iPhone only turns on when plugging it in to the charger but then it says i need to connect with itunes. When i do this the apple logo appears and the iPhone keeps rebooting over and over again. Is this caused by the battery or what could be the problem here?

my friend try to check the battery contact that is on the board there must be one pin which had slipped or the battery needs to be changed
