Member: 99686 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 100 | iPhone unlock via IMEI isn't what you're expecting. The operator DO NOT send you a code which you type in to unlock as you would with a Nokia, this is very different. You contact the service provider and providing you meet the criteria, i.e. you've been a customer with them for 3 months OR you're just out of contract with them, them they will arrange your unlock. You may have to pay them £15 or £20 depending which operator and they will then tell Apple of your unlock request. Some time later, you'll be advised to plug your iPhone into itunes where you'll receive a message to say you're unlocked.........that is how it works. You cannot yet buy an unlock code that is linked to your IMEI, which you key in and unlock your iPhone yourself. It is done through your service provider and then through iTunes. |

Member: 197538 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 97 | You are not updating itunes .. you are simply getting your phone unlocked by APPLE ,. so baseband will not make a difference and besides there is a solution to downgrade your baseband depending on the model ,., search forum ... Thanks Mike |
