Hello. I have the exact same problem with an iphone 3gs, the job was simple, factory unlock... after i got news it was done all i had to do was restore and when i did that it shows that message, i tried changing computer twice and didnt work, was told it might be a hardware problem so i changed the charging port and still doesnt work... sometimes it doesnt show that message but right after it restores and it goes back to connect to itunes mode. any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

In my experience -1 is hardware problem, bad baseband chip. I have tried about 10 different phones, never success.
