iPhone 4, Locked on carrier 3 - GSM-Forum

My friend bought iPhone 4 and he used his sim and it was working for more than 2 week and now its showing no service. When I checked, its showing sim locked on Carrier 3 UK. My question, why it was working earlier and second can we unlock the carrier / sim???

There can be many reasons:

1- He was using Carrier original one
2- He was using SAM unlock (now finished)
3- He was using Gevey no settings undone
4- At least post more info on IOS version, jailbreak or not, what made the problem occur, his phone why are you concerned, where is he, explanations required like the War in Iraq and the oil prices in Iran....

Its confirm that he was not using original carrier sim nor SAM or Gevey. The phone is on ios 5.0.1 firmware 04.11.08 and carrier Three 11.0
Its jailbreak as well.

then he must have had a factory unlocked phone or definately using SAM method....

seems like is possible to be blacklisted. to be more specific: operator can block IMEI in UK if the phone is reported stollen by the police or enssurance company.

The phone is out side UK.
