Hi,
I have an iPhone 4 with USER CODE that I need to remove. I think the BaseBand is currently safe for GEVEY SIM unock. I need to be able to still use the GEVEY unlock but updating the phone would mean updating the baseband. Please how can I preserve the BaseBand even though the USER lock code is enabled?

dump shsh with ifaith n build the ipsw of it -- n restore it.

Ok. Do i need to have the latest iTunes installed? Wont the user code prevent the dump of shsh from the phone? Do I use IPSW 5.0 or 5.0.1 to build without baseband update?

I was able to create IPSW but when I use iTunes 10.5.1 got an :-"error occurred 42408".
I tried dumping shsh with tinyumbrella 5.10.00 but when I connect the iPhone in normal mode with the user code on screen it does not connect (nothing shows up on tinyumbrella). When I connect it in Recovery Mode it show
Device model:- INVALID
Installed Software Version: blank
ECID (DEC):- 1114143
ECID (HEX):- 11001F

And I still cant save shsh. Any suggestions are welcomed.

try iFaith 1.4

if u have cydia installed on phone . make custome firmware and flash the phone and save shash with tiny you will see shash for ur old version make custom firmware with old shash and reflash to be have untethert jailbrak

ask before u do it

The error I go 42408 happens when iTunes is extracting the Customs IPSW for restoring the iPhone 4.

Thanks I already made customs 5.0.1 with sn0wbreeze-v2.8b11. I just cant get to save shsh. Please be reminded that I have a user lock on the phone. I am not sure that it was jailbroken before.

How do I get the shsh to be saved ?

OK so I have seen a little bit of progress with iFaith. But it is stuck indefinately on KERNEL and in the loader window saying :-"Dumping blobs then verifying blobs" indefinately no further progress.

Please any more suggestions ?
