Need help with iOS4 custom firmware
 
Hello,

I have an iphone 3gs , MB717 , 5.13.04 , with old bootroom and I have updated to iOS4 via iTunes, can I restore a custom iOS4 firmware?

I tried but I always get error 1600 (DFU mode) , 1604 (Recovery mode).

I saw on forums that having old bootroom makes you able to restore, whats the problem?

just downgrade it to 3.1.3 5.13.04 so u can unlock it and jb!
u nid itunes 9.2
carrier sim card or 1sim
orig 3.1.3 ipsw
ireb 3.2
spirit
and now ur ready...
iphone must be in recovery mode blank screen then press shift+restore and if its running u can see the progress bar on the iphone at the middle of the process u will see error in itunes 1015 just ignore and close the itunes now ur iphone is in dfu mode,open ireb,press fix recovery mode loop,now put ur carrier sim or 1sim then jb to spirit then unlock!!thats it

easier said than done.... not working solution for itunes 9.2 redirects only to orig 4.0 ipsw...100% wont work...

maybe there's something wrong with u,you do not follow the instructions very well,try it again don't loose hope......
