need to make custom fw for iphone 4 5.0.1 preserver baseband 04.10
and DONT want to jailbreak because of tethered
can i do this with snowbreeaze or
do i just use tinyumbrella (start tss server) and restore with itunes

Custom firmware means u automatically Jailbreak the fone buddy.and till date all custom fws for 5.0.1 are tethered. so i guess we need to live with tethered for now.but semitether allows us to at least boot n use other non-jailbreak tools off redsn0w.

1. open Sn0wbreeze-v2.8b11
2. select ios 5.0.1 next
3. chose baseband prevention mode
after that Sn0wbreeze make an ios on your desktop

Agree with you, this is tested. baseband preservation without jailbreak.
