I am trying to restore a backup i made yesterday on itunes manually. My phone had password protection at the time. then i reset to factory settings because of some issues and am now trying to restore my backup. Itunes keeps asking me for a password. I have tried my phone password and my itunes account password and nothing works.

no i am using Win7 32bit

Well then i assume that its not ur phone or its used phone anyway if you have password for your pc try it if you dont then am sorry you have to kow which mac this phone synced on the password is for mac user for loging in

bro now i am trying to restore it by my lap top. i have backupd on 20.08.12 and now i am trying to restore it but its also asking for password. i have never use password on backup

never actually seen this problem, it's all over the internet with lots of people claiming they know the solution. you can try the following;

i had same prob a while ago you have to change setting in itunes but i can remember where to find it but i know its there

sir on my laptop i never use any password or any account, first time i installed Itunes on my lap top at 20/08/2012 & get backup, just i authorize Apple account noting more.

then how you solve this problem????
