Saurik's gs.apple.com host trick not working anymore - GSM-Forum

ok, so im on 5.0.1 iPhone 4 jb with redsnow. trying to restore my phone coz im going to give it to my sister. i experience this error #### in the past with the simple modfying the host trick about a year ago, but now its not working with itunes 11.

so i put the host trick and restarted the pc. typed gs.apple.com on chrome and its ok, redirecting to cydia. but once i restore my phone the host trick is commented (with #) and i got error 21 with the phone says connect to itunes (with the itunes logo). got out using TinyUmbrella.

So what now, how can i restore my phone? Help pls.

Your trying to restore with 5.0.1?

Yup im on 5.0.1 i dont want to upgrade i just want to clear all the data on the phone then re-jailbreak. now im not sure if the host file needs the 74.###.###

error 21 keeps popping up on itunes.. so bad...

i think u have shsh, yes?
restore same version by redson0w with shsh by preserve bb,,,its easy and will work sure.
