WHEN I USE redsn0w 0.9.6b6 with ios 4.1 custum ipsw
I HHAVE THIS MESSAGE
unable to recognize specified ipsw

you need to downgrade your phone to to 4.1 first with itune. in dfu mode restore two times you will get error 1015. Use tiny embrella to get out recovery mode. then use redsnow to activate and unlock both......................

i use rc8
with snowbreez iphone 3gs 4.1.ipsw


still same

Bro Make sure that u use this file: iPhone2,1_4.1_8B117_Restore.ipsw

and redsn0w 9.6 or above!

Just try this & post result.

Run Ireb4 {fone will become on dfu mode}

Make custom firmware 4.1 via sn0wbreeze 2.1 and flash it via itunes

jailbreak via redsn0w 0.9.6b6

unlock via ultrasn0w

Done.

first restore your idevice with IOS 4.1 IPSW not CFW

put your device in Black DFU...just manual DFU
and restore it on itunesand end up with 1015 error...
dont worry...kick it with recboot..

next is jailbreak and update your baseband to 6.15 using redsnow9.6b6

after doing the above procedure unlock you idevices...
