i68+ Sciphone can't recognize SIM card for T-Mobile - GSM-Forum

I just bought a new i68+ sciphone. The instructions say that it's simple as putting in the SIM card in and it should work. I put in my T-mobile sim card (US) and when I tried dialing a phone number it says, "Emergency calls only". I've tried switching to slot 2 and it still says the same thing. I've tried looking up tutorials and can't find anything to solve this. Do I need to change the IMEI on the phone?? If I do, can someone please send me a link to any software that can make this phone work? Is there anyway of solving this problem without going through the trouble of asking for a new one? Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem with AT&T not registering. I tried changing my IMEI numbers but this did not correct for me. I used Javquis IMEI tool. I set the band selection in engineer mode to automatic and to 850/1900 which is what AT&T uses and this did not help either. If anyone has any ideas or knows what would keep the network from registering please reply. The sim card works perfectly in other phones and the i68+ can read my contacts from the sim but it will not register with AT&T network so that I can make or receive calls. HELP ME!!!!!!!!
