Chinese NOKLA N83 - Fix - NEED HELP - GSM-Forum

hEY,

on my previous thread, I have explained my situation with Nokla N83.
Wrongly I have entered to engineer menu and changed a setting then my phone became dead.

I have bought Nokia SKU-5 cable and opened the phone and attached RX TX GRD to my phone.

Now I'm able to read write and memory test with MTK Tool. I read-back my firmware from phone and when I opened it with Hex Editor, I have found these lines,

MTK_ROMINFO_v04
MTK25_GEMINI_PCB01_GPRS_MT6225_S00.T36_V001_LJ_ML_ A.BIN

Now can someone tell me if I format the phone with Auto Format mode in MTK Tool (FlashTool v3.908.0) will it work?

Or should I have to flash it ?

No don't flash it.Just format the phone safely.and i advice u to keep backup before Format.

But I have a problem, when I try to read back from phone, an error occurred because of that I don't know my ram size in hex , from memory test, it says 32Mb + 128 Mb, and I know 32 Mb == 0x0200000 in hex but when I do that mtk flash tool give error about reading back from flash.

How can I exactly know the size of the flash for read-back operation?
