F003 What java apps am I looking at?

I've got a new fly ying f003 that says on the box that it uses the 'new' Google Android OS and lists its processor as an ARM9 corel running at 208 Mhz. Going to getjar.com they want a phone/platform declared before I can download.

As a smartphone newbie a few questions...

1. What is the phone/platform combo I should be looking under? Some threads have suggested the Symbian platform, is that compatible with the Android OS? (And are these really DUMB questions?)

2. I'm not quite sure how to extract and install downloaded programs. While I could get the new Opera Mini 5 to download and work right off the bat, I tried Google Maps and the file just sits in the 'received' folder.

3. And I've perused the forum for .pdf readers and flash players and besides a reader that needs a pc to convert files, I've not seen (or missed) viable alternatives. I do need to see images, not just text.

4. As far as the processor and other phone info, I'm not seeing where to look on the phone. I saw lists of PC sync software, listed by processor, like MTK 6335 but it doesn't help much if I can't tell what processor my phone uses. It's probably obvious but nothing under settings seems to work. Again, any ideas?
