Thanks for clearing that up :)

But still, there is something "wrong" about the size of this firmware!!! Unpack it and you'll see :eek:

teknospc 12-25-2008 18:03

hehe i know mate is 65 MB works well :) this version is 2.4 , previus of 3A ;)

ColonelZap 01-03-2009 20:32

ColonelZap 01-04-2009 09:51

I don't know if the above firmware has the correct size, so I asked the person with the phone to do another readback in a 32MB size:

teknospc: do you confirm that the V2.4 firmware that you posted, and the last firmware that ColonelZap posted (the V3.A with readback done in a 32MB size), are both of them working 100% ok on a I9+ phone? Have you made and received phone calls? Have you tried all the menus and tools and games, etç etç?

Now my question is, which of those firmwares would be best for my I9+ phone?

My version says the following:
[VERSION]
XMT_V2.6_AP0228_256_64_25_MM2
[BRANCH]: MXC62025
TELSDA25_07B
BUILD: BUILD_NO
SERIAL#: 081213000665
[BUILD TIME]
2008/12/11 16:11

So:
- the latest firmware that teknospc posted is version V2.4 ;
- the firmware that ColonelZap posted is version V3.A with readback done in a 32MB size.

which of those firmwares would be best for my I9+phone?

well my friend first get a backup of your phone, and try both versions, you can upgrade the i9 phone.....

joecoker 01-05-2009 01:59

and should i use MTK_FlashTool_v3.3.1 or SpiderMan_V2.51 or is there any other flashing program that you recomend?

i read somewhere that some Spiderman versions upwards of V2.46 were ruining some phones, so i'm kind of afraid of using Spiderman now :/

teknospc 01-05-2009 04:39

i have spiderman box i never ruin a MTK phone, the good thing is before flash get a backup ... in order to restore the phone if appears any failure

i9++ 3.0 Firmware

Is the "3A" version of the firmware the one with the scrolling 3 page main menu and movable icons? I have read that some of the "3G" firmware versions have a 10 page scrolling main menu, but 7 pages are Chinese games that can't be removed. I just want three pages and to be able to move the icons (so that sending a text does not take so many steps to access).

aleam 01-30-2009 07:33

Anyone got the 3.0A working on Sciphone or i9?
